SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — In front of just about every fire station in San Francisco stenciled on the ground are the words keep clear.
But often, the fire lane warnings are hidden behind illegally parked vehicles.
It’s not only illegal, but stopping a vehicle in designated fire lane slows down the response time for firefighters and paramedics when they have to respond.
The base fine for blocking the fire stations is $35 but with all the court fees and add-ons, the costs can go up to $238.
