SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Reports that the Facebook app has been draining battery life in iPhones has people experimenting in their settings menu and making things worse.
KRON 4′s Gabe Slate shows us that it’s not all that hard, actually. Here are some simple-to-follow steps for you and help get more juice from your cell!
IMPROVE YOUR IPHONE BATTERY LIFE WITH THESE TWO EASY SETTING CHANGES…
1. Settings > Privacy > Location Services and disable the toggle next to Facebook. (Making the green color go away, no green means off)
2. Settings > General > Background App Refresh and disable the toggle next to Facebook. (Making the green color go away, no green means off)
It turns out one of the most popular apps we all run, Facebook, could be the one of the biggest battery drains.
By making the changes above you should see a 5 -15% battery life increase. Turning off these two settings do not drastically affect your experience with Facebook on your phone.
Of course, if you are not having battery issues and making through the day just fine you might as well leave the settings alone.
