AMBER ALERT: Cell Phone Ping Shows Suspect Near San Diego

SUNNYVALE (KRON) — The focus of the search for a kidnapped baby is now shifting to Southern California after the CHP says the suspect’s cell phone signal was picked up in the Kearny Mesa area of San Diego.
Amber Alert signs are on along Bay Area freeways and around the state Wednesday morning after the disappearance of a two-week old baby from Sunnyvale.
The child is Henry Guler-Romero. He has black hair and brown eyes. Authorities don’t have the child’s height, weight or a clothing description.
Investigators say a 22-year old Mesut Guler may have taken the baby from the 900 block of Helen Avenue Tuesday evening. The suspect is six feet tall, weighs 120 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes. Authorities also don’t know what he may be wearing.

The man and the child may be in a tan 2004 GMC Envoy with California license plate No. 6HIL892. The CHP says the vehicle has a large American Eagle decaly on the rear window.
If you see the vehicle, don’t try to stop it yourself. Instead just call 911.
