OAKLAND (KRON)- While talks continue in the BART labor dispute, a union spokeswoman says that management is misrepresenting the contract to the press.
BART Union spokeswoman Antonette Bryant, spoke to reporters outside the Caltrans Building in Oakland where negotiations are taking place.
“We take offense that they are misrepresenting what’s in the contract and how it affects our members,” she said.
Bryant accused the agency of saying the hold-up on a contract deal was due to union demands regarding break rooms.
She also said that there are mice in the break room in Daly City and that there is urine on the walls.
“We are talking about issues that affect the health and well-being of our members,” she said.
BART spokeswoman Alicia Trost says both sides are working very hard on an agreement.
