Chief Meteorologist Jacqueline Bennett started forecasting the weather at KRON 4 in November of 2008. Prior to arriving in the Bay Area, she was a weather forecaster and news reporter at KIVI in Boise, Idaho. Severe weather isn’t as common here in the Bay Area but Jacqueline is always ready to give viewers the most accurate forecast details, whether the forecast calls for fog or thunderstorms.
Jacqueline earned a B.S. in Atmospheric Science, concentration in meteorology, from San Francisco State University while working full-time at KRON. She also holds a B.A. in Journalism and a B.A. in Spanish Language and Culture from California State University Northridge.
In her spare time, Jacqueline often hangs out with her “stinkers,” her two dachshund-mix rescue dogs. Her pups inspired her to launch a dog website, http://yellowdogblog.net, with the goal of helping dog owners with training and pet wellness tips. She’s also a big hockey fan and loves the beach.
You can watch Jacqueline deliver the Bay Area’s most accurate forecast weeknights at 5, 6, 8 and 11pm.
