WEST OAKLAND (KRON) — BART is resuming service through the transbay tube after police say they have determined there is not a valid threat to an AC Transit bus.
The West Oakland station was closed for more than an hour while authorities checked out a phoned in threat against a bus parked under the rail lines.
The threat led to huge crowds gathering in San Francisco BART stations as service through the tube was suspended.
Police say they are working to clear emergency equipment out of the way so all streets around the station can be reopened.
