FOSTER CITY (KRON) — All westbound lanes of the San Mateo Bridge are now open hours after authorities shut down all traffic heading from Hayward to the peninsula because of a serious accident involving an overturned big rig in Foster City.

The CHP is tweeting that traffic is now allowed to pass through the toll plaza.

The lanes were blocked because of the accident involving the overturned tanker on Highway 92 at Foster City Blvd. A Sig Alert remains in effect.
