PESCADERO — A brush fire has shut down part of state Highway 1 in Pescadero Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A downed electrical wire reportedly started the fire around 8:15 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 1 and Pigeon Point Road, according to
the CHP.

The highway was closed in both directions near the scene of the fire and traffic was being diverted to the Pigeon Point Road loop as of 9:30
