SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) — Caltrain’s Holiday Train will be setting off from San Francisco this weekend in a light-filled event intended to collect toys for needy children.
The holiday train, decorated with thousands of lights, will arrive at San Francisco’s Caltrain Station at 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and then travel down the Peninsula, making nine stops along the way.
At each stop, the crowd will be entertained with live music and a 20-minute show featuring Santa and Mrs. Claus and their helpers.
Guests are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots program, which will distribute it to children who might otherwise not receive gifts this year.
The train, which is sponsored by the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, will stop at Burlingame, Redwood City, Palo Alto and Santa Clara on Saturday and at Millbrae, San Mateo, Menlo Park and Sunnyvale on Sunday.
