SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Snow level is 3000 feet in the Bay Area right now but much lower, below 1000 feet, in Ukiah.
There is a cold pool of air trapped in the valley there right over HWY 101, which is keeping temperatures at freezing and allowing all precipitation to fall as snow.
It’s too warm in the Bay Area to see snow down to the deck right now. Temperatures will be in the upper 30s and low 40s tonight for most locations.
