Crews Battle 35-Acre Brush Fire at State Highway 20 in Upper Lake

Four People Displaced After Fire Badly Damages Home

LAKE Co. (BCN) — Cal Fire is responding to a 35-acre wildland fire on the north and south sides of state Highway 20 at Saratoga Road in Lake County this afternoon.

The Saratoga Fire in Upper Lake was reported around 4 p.m., Cal Fire spokesman Scott Bravo said. It was uncontained as of 5 p.m.

One structure was destroyed and the cause of the fire is under investigation, Bravo said.

Bravo said 188 firefighters have responded to the fire that has closed Highway 20 between The Lodge at Blue Lakes and Scotts Valley Road.
