Firefighters Contain 4-Alarm Fire in Oakland

OAKLAND (KRON) — Firefighters are battling a 4-alarm blaze Tuesday afternoon near Diamond Canyon Park in Oakland.

A pair of brush fires were reported at 1:56 p.m. near the Estates Drive and Park Blvd.

An employee at Corpus Christi School says the fire is visible from the campus and that it doesn’t appear to be threatening any homes. The school is not in session and staff are not being evacuated.

According to officials, the fire perimeter was contained at around 3 p.m. but they say that the blaze is still not under control.

The fire isn’t threatening any structures and hasn’t caused any injuries, the dispatcher said.

Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
