LIVERMORE — Police are investigating a shooting Sunday morning in Livermore that sent five people to the hospital.
The shooting occurred at approximately 12:28 a.m. at a residence in the 200 block of South Q Street, according to the Livermore Police Department.
Police said officers were in the area of South Q Street when they heard several gunshots. At the same time, police received multiple calls reporting shots fired at a nearby residence.
Police said the callers reported several people injured from gunshots.
Responding officers learned there was a house party at the residence, and during the party, some of the attendees got into a verbal altercation.
Police said three men left the party and about 30 minutes later, a white sedan drove up to the house, and someone inside the car began shooting at people attending the party.
Three women and two men were shot and transported to the hospital.
The victims, who have not been identified, range in age from their late teens to early 20s.
