NAPA VALLEY BCN-A federal grand jury in San Francisco indicted a man on eight counts of bank robbery on Wednesday, according to the Office of U.S. Attorney Melinda Haag.
Joshua James Metoxen, 25, of American Canyon, is charged with stealing around $18,000 from eight different Northern California banks using verbal demands, notes, and intimidation, U.S. Attorney Melinda Haag said.
Metoxen is currently detained on the eight charges and is scheduled to appear on Sept. 4 for a status conference before a U.S. District Court Judge in Oakland, Haag said.
The maximum penalty for each count of bank robbery is 20 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000, along with three years of supervised release plus forfeiture and restitution, according to Haag.
