CAMPBELL (BCN) — Police have released a sketch of the suspect they say is involved in a Sunday robbery and shooting that sent two people to the hospital.

Campbell police responded at 12:26 a.m. to a report of gunshots heard in the area of Campbell Avenue and Union Avenue.

Police said arriving officers located two victims in the parking lot of the First Bank at 790 E. Campbell Avenue who were suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victims of the shooting are a 22-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man. They remained in the hospital Monday night recovering from their injuries.

While investigating the shooting, police received a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred in the area of Second Street and Civic Center Drive in downtown Campbell.

Police said the suspect in that incident, which occurred 10 minutes prior to the shooting, is likely to be associated with the person involved in the shooting.

The victim of the earlier robbery, a 25-year-old woman, was not injured.

Police said the suspect involved in the shooting is a Hispanic male in his 20s to early 30s, is 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-10, has a medium build and has dark hair.

The suspect was seen fleeing the shooting in dark sedan.

Campbell police are asking anyone with information on the shooting and robbery to call (408) 868-2101. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at (408) 947-STOP.
