KINGMAN, Arizona (KRON) — A man who just couldn’t wait to eat is instead waiting for his court date after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend because she was taking too long to cook dinner.

27-year old Dustin Eric Green is facing serious charges after allegedly threatening to beat his girlfriend with a rubber mallet but instead choking her.

The 22-year old victim says Green grew agitated because she was taking too long cooking dinner. She says when he choked her, she grabbed a knife and stabbed him in the leg.

Green is accused of then beating the back of the girlfriend’s head.

Green was taken to the hospital for treatment for the stab wounds then booked into the county jail. He’s also being held on two outstanding probation violations.
