Memorial Services Planned for Fallen Santa Cruz Officers

(KRON) — KRON 4 News will provide live coverage of the funeral for the slain Santa Cruz officers starting on our Morning News and then continuing at noon on our 24/7 Bay Area news channel, Comcast 193 or over-the-air channel 4.2 on Thursday.

Here’s the timeline for the public memorial services for Det. Sgt. Loran “Butch” Baker and Officer Elizabeth Butler, killed on Feb. 26 in the line-of-duty:

Wednesday
3 p.m. – 8 p.m. A public casket viewing at Santa Cruz Memorial located at 1927 Ocean Street

Thursday 8:45 a.m. Procession departs from Santa Cruz to HP Pavilion in San Jose

10:30-11:00 a.m. Procession arrives at HP Pavilion

11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Guests arrive at HP Pavilion for memorial service

12:00-3:00 p.m. Memorial service

3:30 p.m. Small informal procession of SCPD officers leave HP with fallen officers
