CASCADE, Idaho (AP) – U.S. Forest Service officials say two small private planes collided in midair near a central Idaho airstrip.
David Olson with the Boise National Forest said early reports about the Monday incident indicate one of the planes was able to land at the airstrip and the pilot was able to walk away.
The other aircraft crashed about a mile from the airstrip, causing a small fire. There was no information available about the condition of anyone aboard that plane.
Two air ambulances, the Valley County Sheriff’s Office and firefighting crews with the Boise National Forest responded to the scene.
