SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Hundreds of people are stopping by the San Francisco home where Robin Williams shot the movie “Mrs. Doubtfire” to leave flowers, candles, and messages both on the steps and in chalk on the sidewalk.

KRON 4′s Mike Pelton reports the number of people choosing this venue as a place to honor the actor and comedian who died earlier this week at his Tiburon home.

Most of the visitors at the Mrs. Doubtfire home at Steiner and Broadway in San Francisco never knew Williams, of course. Still many say they the location brings back their best Robin Williams memories. Many tell Mike Williams touhed their lives.

There is a family living in the home. The residents tell Mike they’re moved by the outpouring and have no plans to remove the items fans are leaving behind anytime soon.
