SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — If you’re trying to get from the Caltrain station onto a freeway heading south, you won’t be able to us Interstate 280 until next Tuesday afternoon.

CHP and Caltrans shut down the freeway at 2:00 p.m. from Highway 101 to 6th/King Streets.

This is the continuation of work Caltrans did to replace a bridge hinge for earthquake safety over the Memorial Day and Fourth of July holidays.

Traffic heading into the city is not involved in this closure.

If you’re traveling in the area, get real-time traffic information on the KRON 4 Mobile App and at the KRON4.com Traffic Page.

Stay tuned to KRON 4, the app, and the website for updates on the project throughout the holiday weekend.
