NAPA — KRON 4 Mike Pelton reports from 2nd and Brown Street in downtown Napa where crews continue to monitor and repair damaged buildings.
A new report estimates damage to private and commercial buildings at 300 million dollars, but that does not include damage to public buildings, infrastructure and overall loss of business inventory.
Building Inspectors say more than 100 structures have been red tagged and more than 500 yellow tagged, which means caution when entering.
In addition to damage, city workers are still trying to restore broken water lines that have left nearly 500 people without water.
But despite the city’s outward appearance business owners want to remind people that Napa is open for business and hope to see visitors over the holiday weekend.
