OAKLAND (KRON) — Dozens of dogs are about to board a plane in hopes of finding a new home.

The non-profit organization “Dog Is My CoPilot” relocates dogs that have not been adopted to several parts of the country in hopes they will find new homes.

The owner of the organization says there are too many small dogs in the Bay Area and just not enough people to adopt them.

KRON 4′s Mike Pelton reports from Kaiser Airfield in Oakland.
