NAPA (KRON) — There are no reports of injuries after a strong earthquake sparked a fire that destroyed part of a Napa mobile home park.

Firefighters say it appears the magnitude 6.0 quake ruptured both natural gas lines and a water main at the Napa Valley Mobile Home Park.

Four units were destroyed while six-to-eight others suffered moderate to severe damage.

Firefighters say when they arrived on the scene they made sure everyone was accounted for but a water main break in front of the park meant they couldn’t extinguish the flames.

“The hardest part was having to deal with the lack of water for the incident and knowing you had structures that were immediately threatened by the ones that were burning. You pretty much knew you were destined to lose additional units without the water supply,” Napa Fire Captain Steve Becker tells KRON 4′s Jackie Sissel.

The city of Napa says there is significant damage throughout the community from the quake.
